Minton is a village in southern Saskatchewan, in the Rural Municipality of Surprise Valley No. 9. It sits on Highway 6 just north of where it meets Highway 18, about 19 kilometres north of the Raymond-Regway Border Crossing on the Montana line.
The Canadian Pacific Railway gave the community its name, borrowing it from Minton in Shropshire, England. The name is a blend of the Welsh word mynydd and the Old English tûn, meaning "mountain estate." Minton incorporated as a village on January 1, 1951.
Visitors to the area can find an inuksuk monument about 8 kilometres north of the village on Highway 6. About 15 kilometres west, in the Big Muddy Badlands, is the Minton Turtle Effigy.
